Salt Replacers to Impact Growth in Micronized Salt Market

Amid the growing regulations and scrutiny around food products and beverages, manufacturers have been indulging into inducing clean and flavored ingredients to their offerings in order to keep their consumer base intact. Salt manufacturers are increasingly adopting novel technology to eliminate potassium salt’s sour taste by using L-lysine and bitterness blockers, which is further likely to trigger the uptake of such salt substitutes. With the availability of such salt substitutes, micronized salt market is likely to witness growth stagnation. Furthermore, the high cost micronized salt is also negatively impacting the sales of micronized salt.
